Volunteering at ScyrMC
The Application Process
ScyrMC aims to provide a safe online environment for people of all ages. In order for us to do this, we need the help of volunteers to interact with and build the community. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed after their application has been reviewed. You will receive an outcome via email. As a volunteer, you will be expected to uphold the server rules and guidelines. All volunteers represent the server at all times when present online.
Requirements for All Roles
The requirements listed below are compulsory for all volunteers to carry out their duties on the network. For more information, feel free to make a thread on our Forums or ask on the Discord server.
- ⋆ Minecraft Java Edition account.
- ⋆ 14 years of age or older.
- ⋆ Discord account.
- ⋆ Functioning microphone and permission to speak.
- ⋆ ScyrMC Discord Server member.
- ⋆ Good record on our server.

How Your Data Will Be Handled
Information submitted to us in your Application will be stored securely. It will not be redistributed to any third party. For successful applicants, the data will be kept for the duration of the volunteering period. Visit the Scyr Privacy Policy for more information.
ScyrMC Staff Server
Roles You Can Apply For
Moderator
As a ScyrMC Moderator, your main objective will be to help answer players’ question and respond to their needs while also keeping the server a friendly environment. You will enforce the rules to ensure that players have the best possible gameplay session. Moderators are expected to be active on the Discord server to address any concerns players may have.

Builder
ScyrMC Builders will be given building proposals from the Build Manager. You will be teamed up with other builders or work on a design that meets the specification. Once approved, you will begin work on building your design to the best of your ability. Meetings will be held with the build team to discuss optimal ways of communicating the chosen mood in your builds. Builders are expected to utilise WorldEdit to work efficiently.

Developer
ScyrMC Developers will work on designing solutions to problems identified through the use of rigorous analysis. We look for volunteers to either work on web development and/or Minecraft Java plugin development. Existing knowledge will be required prior to taking on this role. We allow for specicialisation or a mixture of work on all areas of the server and its associated platforms.
